Anthony R. Aguirre, B.A. Music Performance
Drum teacher

Tony AguirreAnthony’s experience with music performance started as soon as he could beat a drum as a toddler. By the time he was 12, Tony was performing regularly public and private venues. In the 7th and 8th grades, he was asked to play snare drum in York Catholic High School’s marching band. He then attended Central York High School, where he went on to receive the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and the John Philip Souza Award. By 11th grade Anthony was playing in the York College percussion ensemble and earned a world scholarship from Berklee College of Music and Jazz Performance.

At Berklee, he played in dozens of the school’s jazz and rock ensembles and brought his performance level up to their highest standard. While living in Boston, Tony was immersed in to the local music scene. He managed to perform regularly in Boston’s many rock clubs and jazz lounges. He later studied classical music at York College of Pennsylvania, where he completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance.

Anthony began teaching drums as a teenager and started at BADOG in 1998. Today, he performs around 120 gigs per year in local metropolitan areas.


Aaron Gainer, Bachelor & Master's Music Performance

Aaron GainerAaron studied guitar privately from age 12 through the completion of his masters degree with such noted teaches as Jeff Gibble, Dr. Matthew Slotkin and Argentinian guitarist Dr. Pablo Cohen. During this time, he focused his studies on several styles of music, including classic rock, heavy metal, and jazz bass. He studied classical guitar at Mansfield University and Ithaca College.

Aaron has been in several bands throughout his lifetime in venues including talent shows, battle of the bands, large parties, and contemporary worship services. He has played bass in jazz bands throughout grade school and college. Aaron has played solo classical guitar for numerous weddings, luncheons, and as a special guest during other concerts. He also has experience with flute/guitar, voice/guitar, saxophone/guitar, and violin/guitar chamber music.

Aaron began studying violin at age eight and continued private lessons through his college years. He has performed in orchestras, including the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, pit orchestras for high school musicals, and various others. He has been teaching private lessons in any style of guitar/bass/violin/viola since 2001. He taught at BADOG from 2003-2006 and resumed in September 2008 after receiving his Master’s.

Cindy Wolfe, Bachelor of Music Education
Piano/woodwinds teacher

Cindy Wolfe holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Morehad State University in Kentucky, having majored in Clarinet. She has studied under William Bigham, Larry W. Keenan, Frederick Mueller, and other noted musicians. During college, her musical activities included Women’s Chorus, Concert Choir, Marching Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band. She also participated in numerous band, orchestra, and chorus programs during high school, and received private musical instruction from age 5.

Cindy’s teaching career has spanned 25 years, which she adds to her years of experience in music retail stores across the area. Cindy’s teaching style presents a balanced learning method backed by a lifetime of musical expertise.
